Wildlife photography is a specialty of general nature photography all its own. I am not a wildlife photographer. I just don’t have the patience to setup and wait for the particular critters of interest to appear and “pose” (not to mention obtaining and carrying the special, and often very heavy, equipment necessary to do justice to the effort).
On the other hand, when in the course of doing landscape and travel photography, the opportunity presents itself, I do my best to capture the unexpected animal image(s). Our trip to Alaska presented several opportunities for photographing some wildlife. And since I had a few other wildlife images already posted, I was able to go back into some of my earlier occasional wildlife photos to combine them into an new, additional Special Subjects gallery.
